When TalciGrade leaves a server
What happens to your settings and data, and what to do if the TalciGrade team removed the bot.
If you remove TalciGrade
Nothing is deleted straight away, so a bot removed by mistake can simply be added back.
| After | What happens |
|---|---|
| 3 days | Work that can no longer finish is deleted: messages saved for open tickets, reminders, transcript links, quarantine records, the announcements follow, and the Dashboard activity log |
| 30 days | Your server's history is archived: member levels, moderation cases, invite counts, tickets and their transcripts, ticket bans and backups |
Your settings are kept: roles, panels, rules, rewards and every module's settings.
Adding TalciGrade back restores everything that was archived, so the server carries on where it left off.
Asking for your data to be deleted
Remove TalciGrade from the server, then open a ticket in the TalciGrade support server. The deletion happens at the next weekly clean-up, and adding the bot back before then cancels it. After it has happened, the data can still be restored on request for three months. After that it is gone for good.
If the TalciGrade team removed it
The server owner is sent a message saying so, by direct message, or in the server if their direct messages are closed.
| Message | What it means |
|---|---|
| Removed | TalciGrade was taken out of your server. It can be added back, and your settings are untouched |
| Blocked | Your server is blocked. TalciGrade leaves again whenever it is added |
| Owner blocked | The account that owns the server is blocked. TalciGrade will not stay in any server that account owns |
A block deletes nothing by itself. Your settings and data follow the same timeline as any other removal.
Adding TalciGrade to a blocked server from the website takes you to a page explaining the block, with the details to copy into a ticket.
Appealing
A message about a block carries a reference starting with BLK-. If you think a block is wrong, open a ticket in the TalciGrade support server and quote the reference.
