Terms of Service
Last updated 2026-09-23
Who this is
TalciGrade ("the bot", "we") is a Discord bot and its companion dashboard, providing moderation, automatic moderation, anti-nuke protection, welcome messages, leveling, invite tracking, a ticket system, logging, and a public status page.
By adding the bot to a Discord server, or by signing in to the dashboard, you agree to these terms. If you do not, remove the bot and stop using the dashboard.
Who may use it
You must meet Discord's own minimum age requirement for your country, and you must be following Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Nothing here permits anything those forbid.
To add the bot to a server, or to configure it from the dashboard, you need the Manage Server permission on that server, or a role a server administrator has granted the relevant permission to.
What you are responsible for
The bot acts on your server under your configuration. You are responsible for:
- How you configure it. Automatic moderation, anti-nuke responses and escalation rules can time out, kick and ban your members. The defaults are deliberately conservative, but the thresholds and the actions are yours to set, and the consequences of setting them are yours.
- What your members post. The bot reads messages where you have switched on a feature that needs it, such as automatic moderation, counting or logging, and acts on them by your rules. That is automatic: nobody here reads your server. We are not responsible for what your members post.
- Telling your members what you have enabled. Some features read message content and member activity (see the Privacy Policy). Where your local law requires you to disclose that, or to obtain consent, doing so is your responsibility as the server operator.
- Keeping your own access secure, including any staff who can reach the dashboard.
What you may not do
- Use the bot to break the law, or to harass, dox, or target anyone.
- Attempt to disrupt the service: automated abuse of the API, attacking the infrastructure, or deliberately trying to exhaust rate limits or storage.
- Resell the bot, or present it as your own product.
- Attempt to gain access to servers, data or dashboard areas you have not been granted.
We may remove the bot from a server, or withdraw dashboard access, if any of the above happens.
Availability
The bot is provided as-is. We do not promise it will be available, complete, or error-free. It may go down, lose in-flight work, be changed, or be discontinued.
It is free to use today. That may not always be true of every part of it: some features may later need a paid plan, and the free tier may change. Nothing you already have will start costing money without notice through the updates feed first, and we will not hold your data to ransom: having a server's data deleted is free, stays free, and never depends on paying for anything.
The public status page is where outages and maintenance are reported, and it records uptime history for each part of the service. That page is us holding ourselves to it in public, with the measured numbers rather than a promise. What it is not is a service level agreement: a free service has no contractual uptime figure behind it, and nothing on that page is one.
Features can change or be removed, but we will not make a change that deletes your data or breaks your configuration without telling you first, through the status page and the announcements feed, with enough warning to keep anything you want to keep. The one thing that can move faster is an urgent fix for a security problem, and that is announced as soon as it ships rather than before.
Your data
What is stored, why, how long, and how to have it removed is in the Privacy Policy. Deleting your data is described there.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the bot or the dashboard. That includes lost messages, mistaken moderation actions, deleted channels or roles, data loss, and any consequence of the bot being unavailable.
The anti-nuke and backup features are a safety net, not a guarantee. A backup captures your server's structure and a restore is deliberately conservative: it recreates what is missing and never deletes or overwrites what is still there. Messages are never backed up and cannot be restored. Discord does not offer a way to undelete a message.
Changes
These terms may change. The date at the top of this page is when they last did. Continuing to use the bot after a change means accepting the new version.
