Moderation commands
Warnings, timeouts, kicks and bans, with a numbered case history.
Every action taken against a member is recorded as a numbered case.
Cases build a history for each member, are sent to them by direct message, and are posted to your log channel.
Every command works as a slash command (/ban). Most also work as a text command, such as .ban with the default prefix. Server settings covers the prefix.

untimeout @user |

Durations are written as 10m, 1h30m or 1d.
Finding a case
/cases view takes four optional filters and combines them, so you can ask for one member's bans, everything one moderator has handed out, or a single case number. Leave them all blank for the whole server, newest first.
Correcting a case
/cases modify takes the case number shown by /cases view and changes it. Give it a reason to rewrite what the case says, a status to remove the case or put it back, or both at once. It works on any case: a warning, a timeout, a kick or a ban.
A removed case is not deleted. It stays in the history marked as removed, along with who removed it, so the record shows the correction as well as the original action. What it stops doing is counting: a removed case no longer feeds the counts used by automatic punishments, so a member who was one warning away from a timeout no longer is, and it no longer adds to their warning total.
This requires the Delete case permission, which nobody has by default. Rewriting a record of moderation is a higher level of trust than adding one, so it is granted deliberately in Permissions. Anyone with a moderation permission can still view history.
Channel commands
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
purge 50 |
Deletes the last 50 messages, optionally from one member |
slowmode 10s |
Sets the delay between messages. 0 disables it |
lock |
Prevents members sending messages in the channel |
unlock |
Restores access |
Discord does not allow messages older than 14 days to be bulk deleted, so
purgecannot remove them.
Setting it up
